Opening Doors’ largest fundraiser of the year is coming up on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Grand River Center. We are truly grateful for our generous sponsors, guests, donors, and all the wonderful individuals and businesses that donated auction items to make last year’s event a record-setting success. This year, we celebrate 25 years of serving the Dubuque community. Join us for an unforgettable evening as we continue our mission to support those in need.
Since organizational inception, our work has grown to encompass four locations including our operations center and three separate facilities including emergency, transitional, and permanent supportive housing. Our team provides mentoring and connects women to services that help them succeed. We’ve reached 5,000+ women and counting. Now, as we look ahead to the next 25 years – Opening Doors is embarking upon a new phase of growth. Because we are a trusted community resource with high-impact results, we have outgrown our current space. Last year alone, we were forced to turn away nearly 600 women and their children due to capacity limitations. That’s why we need you!

We are thrilled to announce our hosts for this year’s Attitude of Gratitude Gala, celebrating 25 years of Opening Doors! Bobbi Earles has been an invaluable advocate over the years, serving as a past board member and an engaging emcee. Her commitment to our mission is truly inspiring. Andy Schroeder currently serves on the Opening Doors Board as well as the Marketing and Development Committee, providing guidance and mentorship to our new Director, Natalie Finley. His dedication to our growth and success is unwavering. A heartfelt thank you to both Bobbi and Andy for their support and leadership.
