Community Foundation
Opening Doors (Maria House and Teresa Shelter) are supported by two endowment funds at the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque. These funds are invested and pays out 5% annually to provide ongoing support for our work for years to come.
To support our endowments, you can make gifts online through the Community Foundation website to the Maria House/Teresa Shelter Endowment or the Peggy Crahan Endowment (which provides summer programs to children at Maria House and Teresa Shelter) on our behalf. You may also send a check to the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque, 700 Locust St, Suite 195, Dubuque, IA 52001. (Please make checks payable to CFGD/Maria House Teresa Shelter OR CFGD/Peggy Crahan Endowment).
Gifts of $50 or more to our endowment funds are eligible for the Endow Iowa 25% State Tax Credit.
